The Nude Year

Well, I'm back... but it took longer than I thought!  The holidays are almost over & The Richmond Retreat will be opening soon.  The year will kick off with a SLUGS (Sun Lovers Under Gray Skies) swim & pot luck on Saturday, January 1st. from 3:00 to 9:00.  We hope to see many people here, & there's likely to be quite a crowd.  This is a SLUGS only event.  There will be an "AANR" swim on January 15th, but we'll get back to that another time soon.

We're also looking forward to the Spa days on Monday & Wednesday beginning January 5th.  The fee will  $25/person, & they'll  run from 3:00 to 9:00. Please remember that attendance at the Spa is by appointment  only (no drop-ins please), & is only open to AANR/TNS members or those who belong to recognized nudists/naturists organizations.  Again, we'll have more about this at another time!

We're still working on the website, but the Facebook page is up and running.  Your comments & suggestions are always welcome. Gotta go...back soon!

Getting Started...

It's a gray, cold & miserable day... so this seems like a good time to begin a conversation about clothing optional & nude opportunities in the Seattle area.  The recently renamed Richmond Retreat is, so far as I know, the only facility in western Washington which is open throughout the year to the area's nudists &/or naturists for clothing optional swims.  Yes, it IS possible to swim & hang out while being both naked & warm in the winter!  For those of you who are not familiar with the term, "CLOTHING OPTIONAL" is defined as mixed gender, non-sexual social nudity.  If you're looking for sexually oriented activity, you've come to the wrong place.

I hope to be back often with general news & views pertaining to the world of nudism or, if you prefer, naturism.  But in the meantime, suffice to say that as of  January 1, 2011, The Richmond Retreat will open as a day spa on selected week day afternoons and will be available for group & club swims on the weekends.  Admission will be by reservation only and will be open ONLY to current members of recognized nudist organizations such as:

•  The American Association of Nude Recreation (AANR)
•  the Naturist Society (TNS)
• OR any AANR recognized landed or non landed club (FS, LARC,  Bronson, SLUGS, Sun Meadows etc)
